My Favorite Thing About Houston Today

Houston + Summer + Pool = FUN!
Prepare for the collective sigh/groan from my fellow Houstonians that will come after I say – I love Houston Summers. There, I said it. I love it. Yes, its hot – and what I mean by hot is HOT. Like 100 degrees and 100% humidity – Hot. When it’s that hot and humid – you perspire and it doesn’t evaporate cause there is so much moisture in the air – so it doesn’t do what it is supposed to and cool you off – so… you stay hot… and sticky. And, yes you will catch me complaining about how hot it is, just like everyone else. Here’s the thing – I spent 3 winters in Detroit, MI and I would rather stay inside with the option to go out side and play in the sun and water 3 month out of the year than to stay inside with the option to go play outside in the brutal, freezing cold 3 (or more) out of the year.
Fab!Hubby (@lassberg) sat with our coffee on Saturday morning, discussing what we were going to to with our weekend and I realized its the same, cabin fever relieving conversation we had when I was a kid – only not in January.
So, my favorite thing about Houston this weekend was:
My son (who last year WOULD NOT get his face wet in the pool)  jumping off the diving board in wild abandon. That’s pure joy contained in a single moment.
