Super Easy, Super Cool Green Smoothie Summer Breakfast
OK – it’s officially hot. We all knew it was coming… we were blessed with an unusually long and pleasant Spring here in H-Town… but Summer is inevitable. With the rising heat my desire for a warm breakfast goes out the window… cool mornings are great for omelets and super healthy oatmeal, but when the temp reaches 90 by 9am… I’m not in the mood.
Green smoothies are a great way to support and honor your body… helping you stay connected to the affirmation that you deserve to feel good. After a few experiments I have a settled on yummy, cool, healthy smoothie recipe I am having for breakfast more days that not this summer. With a handful of baby kale (or spinach if that’s what you have on hand) the health factor just goes up.
Pineapple – Kale – Cool Summer Smoothie Recipe
Throw into the blender:
- 1 small granny smith apple, cored
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 handful of baby kale or spinach
- juice from 1 lime
- 1 cup of ice
Blend it ’till it’s smooth. Enjoy!
