02 Jan Resolution = Decision + Action
Another year over – a new one begun… time for those New Year’s Resolutions.
I have in the past been very thoughtful about resolutions. Taking time each year to come up with a very eloquent, detailed list of all the things I was going to change in the next 365 days in order to be a totally new & improved version of myself… turns out for as thoughtful and beautiful these lists were they were also hella overwhelming and after a month or so, I let them go. Oh well, I sighed, maybe next year I will have the will power to stick with it and become a whole new me.
2 years ago my resolution was to have no resolutions. No lists. No changes. Just Me… acceptance. That was it.
This year I am setting an intention for myself with one statement… Cook More Fish.
That’s it… I guess you could call it a resolution.
Its a broad – silly – encompassing statement… easy to remember.
Its a reminder to myself to take better care of my physical body… better food choices, more movement, more water, see the doc if I need to, ask for and get help, be tender, be gentle, be loving… etc… most importantly, its not about a whole new me… its about me, being me… cooking more fish.
Happy New Year’s!
