60 Second Energizer

Ran across this while studying body mechanics for massage therapists… thought it would really apply to just about anyone needing a quick pick-me-up during the day.

  1.  Slap your hands together and then rub them quickly together for 5 seconds
  2. Hold your warmed palms over your cheeks and eyes for 5 seconds
  3. Using your fingertips, vigorously tap your scalp for 5 seconds
  4. Tap up and down each arm for 10 seconds using loosely fisted hands
  5. Gently grasp the hyoid bone and move it back and forth stimulating the thyroid gland
  6. Cup your right palm around the back of your neck and squeeze firmly for 10 seconds
  7. Switch hands and repeat while nodding your head up and down
  8. Continue squeezing while shaking your head left and right
  9. Reach across your body and squeeze your trapezius firmly for 10 seconds
  10. Switch hands and repeat on the other side
  11. Roll your shoulders forward 3 times and then backwards 3 times
  12. Pinch the thumb web of your hand and hold for 3 seconds – switch hands and repeat
  13. Shake your hands out several times
  14. Stomp your feet a few times…
  15. Now go conquer the world!
