22 Oct Essential Oils for Real Life: Kick Off
Of all the new topics I explored while in Massage Therapy School… I have to say, Aromatherapy was one of my favorites. Maybe it’s the chemist in me that is intrigued by the process of these molecules interacting with the cells of our bodies… maybe it’s the cook in me that loves to delight diners with the perfect mix of spices… mostly I think it’s the part of me that loves having knowledge of how to make someone feel better inside their own body. I fell in love with the topic and the oils and wanted to learn more.
One of the things that I like best about essential oils is they are so accessible and can become part of even our most hectic days. Essential oils can be woven into our lives is such simple ways – just a drop of lavender on our pillows can help us sleep. Sharing my life with one Fad!Hubby, 2 boys, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 1 snake… I know if I am going to add something, it’s got to be simple and easy.
So, I did some research, ordered some books and am kicking off a series here to explore Aromatherapy further. I find it fascinating that these little elixirs of life can lift us up and calm us down, they can help our bodies to heal and our spirits to hum… along with so much more. As I learn more about the art of using essential oils, more about specific oils and recipes for mixing oils, I will be sharing here on the blog in a series titled “Essential Oils for Real Life.” I mostly want to learn how we can use these powerful gifts of nature in our every day lives… and no better way to kick-off a real life study essential oils than to share a real life photo of my research materials… this was my newest essential oil book just hours after it arrived… I wonder if there is an essential oil recipe to make puppies behave better?
